Leeds United have had a very impressive start to the 2018/19 Championship season, sitting top of the table with 14 points from a possible 18.

Marcelo Bielsa has got his side playing some terrific, high energy football that has made the rest of the league sit up and take notice.

The impressive start may not be good news for everyone, however, not least those young players who are currently out on loan.

One of which is left-back Tyler Denton who was sent to Peterborough United for the season during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been unable to break into the Posh matchday squad however and has made just one appearance which came during a 2-0 loss to QPR in the League Cup.

Football League World posed the question Leeds United fans on whether or not Denton still has a flourishing future at Elland Road.

A whopping 70% of fans shook their heads, saying they do not think Denton has a future with the club.

But are they correct? We discuss...

I am inclined to agree with the 70 per cent of Leeds fans here, in thinking Tyler Denton will not have a flourishing future at the club.

If you’re good enough, you’re old enough, and if he was class, he would be playing for the club right now under the world-renowned Marcelo Bielsa.

If he doesn’t rate you then your future at any club is in doubt.

It’s a good job for Denton that the manager picks the team, isn’t it?

Denton is still young and could well develop into a good player.

The experience he’s getting at Peterborough can only be a good thing.

If he is going to flourish then he’ll need regular football and a bit of belief from his own fans.

Most Leeds fans are right.

Denton is reaching the stage in his career where he'd like to be a regular in the first-team at Leeds, but that has not come.

His future lies away from Elland Road, and i'd expect to see him offloaded on a permanent deal next summer.

Alfie Burns

I don’t see him ever making a big impact at Elland Road, particularly with Tom Pearce around.

From the academy it was either going to be Denton or Pearce, with it looking like it will be the latter Leeds put their faith in.

It’s a shame for Denton, but next summer he should be looking for a permanent move.

George Dagless

It's tough to say.

Young players' careers can fluctuate at this stage but it looks like Denton is having a tough time with the Posh.

He's not playing much and that would suggest that he might not get into Leeds' side as things stand.

He'll be eager to change that though.

Chris Gallagher

It's probably the harsh reality.

Denton isn't an untested teenager, he's 22-years old now so if he's not in the first-team picture then it doesn't look good.

He still has time on his side to turn things around and make a future for himself at Elland Road but it seems unlikely to me.
