Things appear that little bit more rosy at Villa Park as things stand after what has been an undoubtedly tough summer.

Few connected with the club will have enjoyed the last couple of months with real uncertainty about their financial future being kicked up.

However, new investment has come into the club and with Steve Bruce confirmed as staying on, there is a renewed sense of stability around B6.

It appears, too, that the need to sell key players has subsided with Jack Grealish and James Chester potentially set to now stay on past this summer.

Certainly, that appears a real boost and it looks as though fans of the club, in the main, are more than happy with the news:

Indeed, we asked Villa fans whether they were happy with the double transfer development on Twitter and the overwhelming majority are.

Both Chester and Grealish are two of the best players in the league and if Villa do manage to now keep hold of them their play-off chances will have been given a massive boost.

Let's see now, whether that remains the case and whether Bruce can manage to add to his squad in the final weeks of the window.
