Queens Park Rangers confirmed today that keeper Joe Lumley had joined Doncaster Rovers on an emergency loan.

Darren Moore's side have been left in a tough position after Stoke City recalled Josef Bursik following an injury to Angus Gunn.

However, they wasted little time in sorting a replacement, with Lumley's arrival announced today and he is registered in time to go into the XI for the big game against Sunderland tomorrow.

Despite starting the season in goal for the R's, Lumley has quickly found himself as third choice under Mark Warburton. As a result, he wasn't likely to be involved for the Londoners in the next week anyway.

This is the second time that the 25-year-old has made a short-term move, having joined Gillingham in similar circumstances at the end of October.
