Leeds United will be licking their wounds following their failure to land Swansea City winger Daniel James on deadline day, when the Swans board rejected the payment terms of the deal, after the player had successfully completed a medical at Elland Road.

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa was looking for a wide man amid speculation that a number of clubs were interested in his young starlet Jack Clarke, though ultimately the 18-year-old remained at Elland Road.

So, do you think Leeds will look to come back in for the Yorkshire-born man in the summer and get a deal over the line?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"It’s only a matter of time.

"James evidently wanted the move to Elland Road in the first place, and even passed his medical at Leeds.

"All it will take is a transfer request to be submitted and that will be the turning point in a deal for him."

Louie Chandler

"Absolutely.

"James appeared to be the only player in Bielsa's mind in the January window so he is clearly a massive fan of winger.

"I would be very surprised if he is not a Leeds player in the summer."

Jay Taylor

“They are keeping tabs on him still so you would imagine they will be keen to bring him in during the summer.

“Had they cut all ties and stopped looking at him that would suggest Leeds were no longer interested.

“I would be genuinely shocked if James was not a Leeds player this time next year.”
