Sheffield Wednesday have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with Barry Bannan the driving force behind the club’s good form.

Bannan has two goals to his name already, with one of those coming in the 2-2 draw with Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

Jos Luhukay has now described Bannan as one of the Championship’s best players, piling the praise on the 28-year-old.

Is the 55-year-old right?

We discuss…

Gary Hutchinson

He's isn't wrong, Barry Bannan is quality and a key player for Wednesday.

He showed it at the weekend, setting up one and scoring another.

Without him, the Owls struggle, there's no doubt about it.

George Dagless

It's a big claim but it's not too outlandish.

Bannan has one of the better left pegs in the league and he has been superb so far this season.

He is perhaps a tad underrated in the division and I'd certainly say he's one of the better midfielders in the second tier.

Alfie Burns

Bannan is the Championship’s form midfielder and Luhukay won’t be the only person making this claim.

The Championship is filled with talent, but when Bannan is in this kind of form, there aren’t many players that can have the impact he can.

He’s showing his worth to Wednesday with some outstanding performances.
