Sun journalist Alan Nixon has put to bed rumours linking Leeds United with a transfer swoop for Rangers attacking midfielder Josh Windass.

With the Whites signing Adam Forshaw from Middlesbrough for a multi-million pound fee, Leeds seemingly don't need the Rangers player in this window.

Are Leeds missing out? Should they continue to pursue Windass?

We discuss....

It’s not really a surprise to hear Leeds won’t be pursuing a move, as Windass isn’t what the Whites need right now.

Windass is a good player, but for the remainder of the month, Leeds need to be looking to bring a striker to Elland Road to solve their goalscoring woes.

In the long-term, I think Windass could be a target for the Whites and one they perhaps are in for during the summer transfer window.

Sam Preston

I think he would have added something.

He wouldn’t have been too expensive and he would have added flair and unpredictability.

I suppose with Adam Forshaw coming in, Christiansen may want to invest elsewhere but I’d have really considered taking Windass at the right price.

George Dagless

Leeds fans won't be too upset by this.

Though Windass is a decent player he is not the leading number 9 they really need and so they're better looking elsewhere to invest.

Another striker is a must and I think even if Windass did arrive they'd still need someone to get in behind opposing defences.
