‘It’s not my fault’ – Message from Sheffield Wednesday to fans following Boro defeat

Published

on

Sheffield Wednesday once again fell to defeat today, losing 2-1 at Hillsborough to Middlesbrough, despite being 1-0 up going into the final half hour of the game.

The Owls chucked away their lead to allow Garry Monk’s men back into the fold, and they simply could not find the answers to get back into the game, and following the final whistle, the atmosphere had become somewhat toxic at S6.

With manager Carlos Carvalhal coming under increasing pressure, his post match presser was always bound to have some awkward questions and answers, but on answer in particular today will no doubt have driven Owls fans mad.

In an interview with Radio Sheffield’s Rob Staton after the game, Carvalhal claimed he is doing his best, but also insisted that he believes it ‘is not his fault’ that his team are losing games.

These sort of comments from the Portuguese coach amongst other things have not endeared him to the home fans this season, and this will no doubt be another comment which is picked up on by the Wednesday fans who take to social media following the game.

Wednesday fans, what do you make to the comments from your manager? Let us know in the comments!
