‘It’s not looking good’, ‘No surprise’ – Many QPR fans react to Charlie Austin update

QPR striker Charlie Austin has been charged with alleged violent conduct by the FA after a challenge on Nottingham Forest’s Ryan Yates on Monday, which has caused a stir among fans of the west London club.
The R’s were beaten 3-1 at the City Ground at the start of the week with goals from Alex Mighten, Lewis Grabban, and James Garner meaning Lyndon Dykes’ late header was little more than a consolation.
It seems the west London club are unable to move on from that defeat just yet, however, as the FA have charged Austin with alleged violent conduct relating to an incident just before halftime.
Frustrated after having not won a foul in a tussle for the ball on the sideline, the striker appeared to step back and stamp on Yates’ stoumach after the Reds midfielder had fallen to the floor.
It’s hard to say whether there was intent from the R’s man but it did seem an unnatural step to take.
The 31-year-old has until today to provide a response and could face a suspension if the charge is upheld.
Was it Charlie Austin or Lyndon Dykes who have done these 15 things?
Austin has been a key player for the west London club since returning on loan from West Bromwich Albion in January – scoring five times in 17 Championship games – and it seems a fair few R’s fans are concerned and frustrated by this update.

Looks like a 3 game ban, it looks intentional.

Looks like he left a bit on him to be honest. Probably get done for that.

The second angle shows it’s intentional, stupid thing to do and it will be a 3 match ban

No surprise thought he would’ve been lucky to stay on the pitch https://t.co/GgDwspFd8F
