Over the weekend we watched Leeds United’s promotion hopes take another hit, with the Whites losing 1-0 to Sheffield United in a competitive Yorkshire derby.  

Leeds remain in promotion contention, though, which is something to be proud of considering the obstacles the club have had to overcome at times this season.

Amongst those obstacles was the departure of Samu Saiz, who turned his back on Leeds in the winter.

The playmaker returned to Spain and linked up with Getafe, but he’s not featured in La Liga for over a month now, with Leeds Live highlighting that Saiz didn’t even make the matchday 18 over the weekend.

And, that’s prompted plenty of discussion amongst Leeds’ fanbase, with many looking at the fall from grace the former Elland Road favourite has had.
