Leeds United head into the Saturday lunchtime kick-off against Derby County at Elland Road looking to increase their grip on top spot in the Championship, after a run that has seen only one defeat in their first seven outings in the league.

Ahead of the match though, Bielsa has a decision to make with midfielder Adam Forshaw ruled out due to a hip injury, the same problem that caused him to miss last weekend's victory over Barnsley, as reported in the YEP.

With this in mind, do you think Jamie Shackleton should step in to replace Forshaw again this weekend?

We discuss........

Chris Thorpe

"I definitely think that Shackleton is the best choice to replace Forshaw.

"Bielsa rarely changes his starting 11, with it being proved time and time again throughout his tenure that consistency pays dividends.

"Shackleton has been impressive when he has been given a chance this season, so I think dropping him from the starting 11 would put a dent in his confidence.

"He definitely thrives in the more advanced midfield role that he is given in Bielsa's 4-1-4-1 system."

Dean Cooke

"Yes, it should be Shackleton again barring any late mindset changes from Marcelo Bielsa. The midfielder has been really impressive in recent weeks and deserves to keep his place.

"With Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts slowly returning from injury it shouldn't that of a blow to see Forshaw out once more, and their squad will only improve with these players.

"Shackleton went under the radar in his latest performance but was very good at Barnsley last weekend and will hope that he gets the opportunity to continue his good run of form."

Is this the WORST Leeds United XI from the last 15 years? We'll let YOU decide....

Alfie Burns

“Yes, it’s nailed on.

“Shackleton did very well last week in a derby against Barnsley that could’ve been a little bit of a banana skin for the Whites.

“He runs very well from central areas, and with Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips alongside him, Leeds will have experience to match his energy.

“Given he featured in both play-off legs against Derby last season, whatever the atmosphere throws up won’t effect him either.”
