Aston Villa are one of a number of sides interested in signing former Palace winger Bakary Sako, who is available on a free having departed Selhurst Park during the summer.

But what does this mean for Villa's top scorer from last season Albert Adomah, who has already dropped down the pecking order following the arrival of Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El Ghazi.

We ask what would be the impact on Adomah if Sako joined Villa?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

A negative one.

Adomah seems down the pecking order despite a top season last year and still possessing great quality.

He should be playing more than he looks set to and any Sako deal will only make that harder.

Gary Hutchinson

It pushes him even further down the pecking order.

It’s a real blow, Villa essentially saying they prefer a free agent to last year’s Player of the Year and leading scorer.

When you get in Bruce’s bad books, you stay there don’t you?

It’s madness to be honest.

Jay Taylor

It makes his position at Aston Villa even more untenable.

After being told be can leave at the 11th hour on the loan deadline day, it is clear that Steve Bruce has decided on the future of Albert Adomah.

And if Bakary Sako sigs, it most certainly signals the end of his Villa career, be it now, or in January.

It would be a shame for a player who has been professional and dignified throughout the whole situation.
