After a shakey start to the Championship campaign, the pressure is on manager Steve McClaren to turn things around and get the Hoops' promotion push back on track.

But with only the loan market available to him, should McClaren look to offload striker Conor Washington, to make space for some new faces?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I'd actually say no.

QPR need to keep as many options as possible and though the striker has struggled at times at least he is someone that can occasionally score goals.

If the R's cannot replace him then they need to keep hold of him.

Jay Taylor

It’s long overdue.

He is out of favour at Loftus Road, and a loan looks likely.

Millwall have been sniffing around the striker who has failed to live up to his price tag since his move from Peterborough.

With game time limited it looks like the striker will leave and it would be to the benefit of the player.

Alfie Burns

Washington isn’t the man to get QPR where they need to be, but they can’t think about offloading him until some more bodies are through the door.

McClaren will be well aware of that, so until he has another striker on board, it’s hard to see Washington departing.

If someone like Chris Martin arrives, QPR might well consider offloading the striker.

Gary Hutchinson

If they’re not going to play him, yes. I’m not sure why he’s fallen from grace so quickly, he’s a natural finisher and a player I thought was destined for bigger things.

I could point to Jordan Rhodes, currently enjoying a renaissance of sorts at Norwich, and express that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

Washington is still only 26 and any team in League One who signs him will get 15 to 20 goals a season.

QPR might be missing a trick by not having him in the first team squad.
