Kyle Bartley is establishing himself as a firm fan favourite at the Hawthorns.

The central defender has been at the very heart of the West Bromwich Albion side since his arrival from Swansea City last year.

Bartley came with a great weight of expectation and a fee of £4 million from the Welsh side and it would be a fair assumption to make that he has more than earned that price tag.

The 28-year-old made his 50th appearance for the Baggies at the KCOM Stadium against Hull City on Saturday in a comfortable 2-0 win. In those 50 games, the defender has chipped in with two goals and even an assist for the side.

This season, though, the player has been the anchor behind the side’s incredible start to the 19/20 campaign. He has kept four clean sheets, including two in his last two, which has helped West Brom to maintain their place at the top of the Championship table.

Their win against Hull retained their two-point lead over Preston North End at the top of the table and after the game, the club congratulated Bartley on reaching a club milestone.

Fans responded by praising the defender’s performances this season.
