Former Leeds full back Tony Dorigo has been speaking to LUTV, pouring praise on the incredible work rate offered by the players this season.

Australia-born Dorigo played over 200 times for Leeds as part of an impressive career that also spanned Chelsea, Aston Villa and Derby County. He turned out 15 times for England during early nineties.

He now works for Leeds United TV, offering expert analysis and insight and the current Leeds side has got him drooling. He spotted the Leeds' players reaction to Pablo Hernandez losing the ball and has labelled it as 'ridiculous'.

"Hernandez loses the ball and they're on the counter, so we have to get back. Where are the Wigan players? Well Leeds players just run past them all."

"Seven players. It's just amazing. Those seven players said, 'There's no way we're going to let you score. We have the desire, the fitness and the belief to get back'. It's just ridiculous."

Leeds beat Wigan to move to the top of the table on goal difference and as yet, there's no let up in their promotion campaign despite a host of injuries and set backs. They face West Brom this weekend looking to ensure they enter the international break as league leaders.

The Verdict

The Leeds player's work rate is phenomenal this season and we're into November with them still running as hard as they have all season.

There will be plenty more for Dorigo to enthuse about as players come back from injury and the squad settles down once more. It looks as though Leeds are in it for the long haul, music to their long-suffering fans' ears.
