It’s been a season to forget for Ipswich, who have been relegated from the second tier, to their lowest point in over five decades.
After Mick McCarthy departed, the Paul Hurst experiment failed, meaning that Paul Lambert stepped in to pick up the pieces.
Despite reuniting the fan base, Lambert couldn’t keep Ipswich up, and managed just a handful of wins.
Now, it is time to rebuild for life in League One, where they will look for an instant return to the second tier. To do that, they may have to sign players, but they could face losing some as well.
Here, we list two players that we are really struggling to see stick around at the club going into next season, probably meaning they will leave this summer.
Do you agree, or can you think of a player we have missed that you think will certainly leave this summer? Let us know in the comments section below.
Trevor Chalobah had a pretty pleasing season at Portman Road, but it is unlikely that he will return next season.
He is still very young and may think he is good enough for the Championship at least, so will hope for a move there rather than a return to Ipswich.
Similar to Chalobah, Quaner will probably feel he is better than League One, and decide to search for a move to the Championship.
He wasn’t the best striker Ipswich ever had, but he seemed to have a good ethic and scored a few goals.
