Leeds United manager gave his pre-match press conference yesterday ahead of the Friday night visit of Derby County in the Championship, with absentees and potential signings high on the list of topics discussed.

Following the press conference it was reported via Phil Hay, how the Whites' Head of Recruitment, Victor Orta, proposes potential signings to manager Bielsa, as the Leeds boss confirmed.

So are there any issues with a head of recruitment suggesting players to the manager?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"I don't think this is really a problem.

"Unless Bielsa has already made it clear that he does not want interference from Orta then I don't see the problem.

"You see at plenty of clubs these days, chairman and chief executives buying players for their managers so this is relatively minor if you ask me."

Jay Taylor

“As long as he is only proposing players then there is no issue, right?

"If Orta was signing them without the consent of Bielsa, then there could be an issue, but he is seeing what he wants and suggesting them to him.

"That will give Orta a better understanding of what Bielsa is after, and I think it could be a good pairing in the window ahead of potential incomings.”

Gary Hutchinson

"His Under 23 signings have done well this season, so it can’t be a bad thing, surely?

"It’s how football works these days, is it not?

"Bielsa will have ideas too, they thrash out a list and off Orta goes.

"That’s the modern world."
