Millwall manager Neil Harris will be returning to Championship action this weekend with a spring in his step after midfielder Jed Wallace signed a new long-term contract at the club, as confirmed on the Club Website.

Wallace, 24, has been with the Championship side since June 2017, having initially arrived on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2016.

So is the new deal for Wallace good news for Millwall?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

Definitely.

He has not been at his best throughout this season but is undoubtedly very important to the club.

In their current predicament, Millwall cannot afford to pick and choose that much.

Jay Taylor

One of the signings of the season, nailing Jed Wallace down to a new long-term deal.

His form had been affected by the Middlesbrough links in the summer and the new deal puts his mind at ease and should hopefully allow him to perform to his best as he did last season.

It’s a great deal for both the player and the club, it’s a win-win and it shows further that Millwall are able to keep their best players despite fleeting interest from wealthier rivals.

George Harbey

It’s great business.

Wallace is one of Millwall’s best players on his day, so to tie him down to a new deal before other teams come swooping is great business.

He will be hoping to guide Millwall away from relegation.
