Millwall manager Neil Harris continues his overhaul at the Den having narrowly missed out on relegation last season, with the signing of Ipswich Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski on loan, as confirmed by the club.

The Polish international has been at Portman Road since 2014 making 168 appearances, and now joins up with the south London outfit ahead of the new season kick-off this weekend.

Millwall faced competition from Blackburn Rovers for the signature of the 6'4" stopper, but it was Neil Harris' side who secured the deal.

So will Bialkowski prove a good signing for the Lions?

We discuss........

Chris Gallagher

"This is a fantastic signing for Millwall who have had a very productive summer so far.

"Bialkowski was one of the best keepers in the Championship up until 12 months ago and he was regularly named as Ipswich's Player of the Year. He is a good shot-stopper and also very capable of commanding his box.

"However, his form seriously dipped last season and he was extremely poor when compared to his usual high standards.

"But, the Lions should back the Pole to rediscover his best form and if he gets anywhere near those levels then he will be an astute addition to Neil Harris' squad which desperately need a new number one."

George Dagless

"It's good business.

"Millwall ideally needed another goalkeeper to come in and here they appear to be getting one that should prove one of the best in the league next season.

"He was excellent for Ipswich for a number of years - even with them relegated last season - and I think this coming campaign he'll prove a fine arrival for the Lions.

"It's hard to predict what's going to happen with the London side this season but with Bialkowski in net they have a better chance of achieving something for sure."

George Harbey

“This is a bizarre piece of transfer business in my opinion, as a loan deal just doesn’t make sense at all from an Ipswich perspective.

“Bialkowski has been one of their most important players over the last couple of years, but now they’re effectively losing him for the season and getting nothing in return for him.

“Millwall do need to add competition in between the sticks despite already signing Frank Fielding, and I personally think that Bialkowski is better.

“He commands his box much better, and pulls off some fantastic saves for a commanding goalkeeping like himself.”
