Sheffield Wednesday seem to hitting form at the right time under Steve Bruce, with the Owls up to 12th place in the table now just six points off the play-off places, ahead of the Steel City derby on Monday night.

Bruce will also have received a boost with striker Gary Hooper now back in training, having been sidelined with a number of different injuries since December 2017, but he's looking in good shape in some photos released by the club on Twitter.

So is it good news for the Owls that Hooper is back in training?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"It’s come at the perfect time.

"Hooper has been a big miss for the Owls this season and with Sheffield Wednesday challenging for a top six finish, his return couldn’t have come at a better time.

"He could be the missing piece in their promotion jigsaw."

Jay Taylor

“It’s good news for him and Steve Bruce who will have another option in attack as they build up a head of steam for a late play-off push.

“Having a goalscorer like Hooper back in amongst things will be like a new signing.

“Bruce has quite the attacking options at his disposal with the former Celtic man nearing a return."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes.

“It’ll be interesting to see if he comes back the same player.

“Things have changed a lot since he last kicked a ball for the Owls.

“He’ll be like a new signing.”

Alfie Burns

“Absolutely, seeing him in a Wednesday shirt before the end of the season would be huge.

“Of course, he’s out of contract in the summer, so will be desperate to get back and set himself up for next season, whether that’s at Hillsborough or elsewhere.”
