Via reports from Derbyshire Live, Derby County could be set to be without midfielder Krystian Bielik for quite a long time after picking up an injury on Monday night.
The 22-year-old – a £9.5m summer signing from Arsenal – featured for the Rams’ under-23 side in their clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Loughborough University.
The plan was for the versatile midfielder to get some minutes under his belt as he looks to return from a three-game suspension, after picking up a red card against Charlton last month.
But after only 17 minutes, Bielik was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury and was unable to play any further part in the encounter.
Can you get 18 out of 18 on this Derby quiz?
This is a massive blow for Derby as it now looks like they will be without Bielik for a lengthy spell – the 22-year-old has been a key player for Cocu this season, making 21 appearances in all competitions.
Here, we take a look at Derby fans’ reactions to this latest blow…
Speedy recovery hopefully for Bielik 🙏 Defensive midfield seems to be cursed for #dcfc when it comes to injuries?

It’s beyond a joke if he’s another one out for a year or so. Fingers crossed we get some good luck on this one

I really hope it isn't serious but he's never looked fully fit since he signed

It was a tangle of legs with the attacker. Looked like he fell awkwardly.

Sounds bad if he’s been stretchered off. Hopefully precautionary only

Not seen the incident ..was it a turn or a tackle ?Have to say I feel bad for the lad but I feared the worst a long time prior to this given how often he goes to ground and his recklessness in the tackle 😞

Would pretty much sum up the season Steve. Which has been an absolute disaster from the start
