These days, the Championship is absolutely awash with big clubs and big names of English football.

Over recent years we've seen the likes of Aston Villa and Sunderland join Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, Wolves, the Sheffield clubs and others in the second tier to arguably leave us with bigger names in the Championship than the top flight.

Naturally, then, the question is always going to be, who is the biggest side of all in the second tier? And with that in mind, we've taken a look...

Alfie Burns

There are some huge clubs outside the Premier League, but for me, it is between Leeds and Aston Villa.

Both have a great history, huge fanbase and are not just amongst the biggest clubs in the Championship, but also amongst the biggest in England.

However, if I have to choose one I will go with Aston Villa, due to the single European Cup they have won.

There's so many ways you can judge this.

Crowd, history, fan base, potential. They are just some factors to consider and there are many Championship clubs who are much bigger than those in the Premier League in that sense.

Wednesday, Forest, Derby, Sunderland and Wolves are all big clubs. However, it's between Villa and Leeds for me.

The West Midlands side have the edge because they have won more though.

This is very tough.

There's a lot of big sides in the Championship who, by name, deserve to be in the Premier League but of course are not.

The likes of Wolves, both Sheffield clubs, Derby and Forest are all big names in English football but I think it's between Leeds United and Aston Villa.

Picking one, I'm going for Villa.
