Leeds United remain well on course to win a long-awaited promotion into the Premier League under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa this season.

The Whites are currently sat top of the Championship table, and will be confident of extending their winning run to six games when they do eventually return to action.

One player that has certainly shown improvement from last year's campaign is Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison.

The winger has hit five goals and been on hand to provide seven assists for his Leeds team-mates in all competitions this term, as they look to win promotion into the top-flight at the earliest of opportunities.

Due to recent events, there isn't any fixtures taking place in England at the moment, which has somewhat called an abrupt halt to Leeds' promotion bid.

Speaking in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, Harrison felt that working from home was 'tough', and revealed what his training regime is currently like away from Thorp Arch.

"It's been tough. I wouldn't say I'm someone who gets bored easily but I always like to have a ball at my feet and be playing football so when I'm injured or during these times it's always hard because I just want to keep playing.

"But we've been getting programmes sent to us from the performance coach at the club so we've had some programmes to follow with running and stuff. It's been tough because I just want to play."

The Manchester City loanee went on to outline his frustrations at the break from competitive action, as Leeds were in an impressive run of form before the fixtures were postponed for the foreseeable future.

"It's frustrating because not only myself but the team were in good form and with the results we were having and the way we were playing, we were in a good place.

"It's a bit frustrating to bring that to a halt because of everything that's going on in the world right now."

Leeds aren't set to return to action until the 2nd May, when they're due to take on relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic at Elland Road, although that scheduled return date could be pushed further back in the future.

The Verdict:

You can understand his frustration.

Leeds were on an impressive run of form, with five wins from their last five matches, so it's clear to see why Harrison is slightly irritated by the break from competitive action.

However, the health of the UK is the most important thing at the moment, and the 'lockdown' currently in place will help risk the spread of the virus.

I have no doubt in my mind that Leeds United will win promotion into the Premier League this season, and this break could even prove to be beneficial, as it gives some Leeds players a chance to return from injury before they reach the conclusion of this year's campaign.
