Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will be frustrated at the time both Patrick Bamford and Gaetano Berardi are taking to recover from injury, at a time when the Whites want to push on and consolidate there position at the top of the Championship.

Bielsa seems keen to play returning players in the U23's prior to a return to the first team squad, but with Berardi limping off for the U23's on Monday afternoon and Bamford considered not even ready for a run out, the clock is still ticking on the duo's competitive return.

So are Leeds rushing players back from injury?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"Possibly although I don't think they are doing anything particularly wrong.

"Leeds' medical staff will not be doing anything different to what they have done in previous seasons.

"Set-backs are obviously magnified, however, when Bielsa insists on having a smaller squad."

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not sure.

“Players get setbacks with injuries, it happens.

“There’s not a lot that can be done apart from being overly cautious.

“Leeds don’t have time to be cautious though.”

Jay Taylor

“It's been a problem all season.

“When a player is fit again, they are back in the fold right away, and the players in question tend to breakdown.

“It’s been a trend all season and taking an extra week or two could well be the difference to then being able to remain fit.

“It’ll be interesting to see if this continues the rest of the campaign.”
