Derby County have experienced a dip in form following their opening day victory against Huddersfield Town, scoring just six goals in total and slumping into the bottom-half of the table.
Pressure is starting to mount on manager Phillip Cocu, primarily due to his decision to play a significantly weakened side in last week’s East Midland’s derby clash with Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.
Next Friday sees them welcome Cardiff City to Pride Park in a match that the manager and fans will both be desperate to win.

But before that, the club asked fans to settle their goal of the month competition with two Tom Lawrence strikes against the Terriers, Lee Buchanan’s goal against Scunthorpe and Jack Marriott’s rocket at home to Bristol City.
However, following their recent poor patch of form, it is safe to say that not too many fans were feeling in the mood to pick, with plenty choosing to mock themselves instead…
are these the only goals we scored
