Leeds United today revealed a new club crest that will be used from next season as they look to embark on a new era for the club.

The crest contains the name of the club at the top and a figure making the ‘Leeds Salute’ which is supposed to represent the fans and signal a bright future for Leeds.

Overall, Leeds revealed that the process for changing the badge took over six months and collected the thoughts of 10,000 people connected with the club.

As well as interacting with the fans through online surveys and discussion, the club consulted both former and present-day players on what they believe Leeds is all about.

With the clubs centenary year approaching in 2019, all involved wanted to make sure the new crest would be ready for then and it will be on the kits and merchandise from the start of next season.

However, it’s fair to say the new badge has provoked a reaction of anger from Leeds fans and caused other supporters to mock the Yorkshire club.

Here’s just some of the reaction…
