Aston Villa manager Dean Smith will be drawing up his transfer targets on the back of their Championship play-off final victory over Derby County, with a permanent deal for loan defender Tyrone Mings bound to be high on Smith's wish-list.

But if Villa want to secure the towering defender permanently, then former Leeds full-back Danny Mills suggests that Villa will need to pay a fee of at least £15million to prise the 26-year-old away from Bournemouth, as reported on Football Insider.

But is Mings worth the £15 million, Mills thinks Villa might have to pay?

We discuss.........

George Dagless

"It's around that.

"Look at the market, there are big fees for most players now.

"Mings was class in the Championship and Villa will be eager to get him - they might want to try and knock £5m off if they can though."

“Back around January time you wouldn’t have really said so, but after his impact at Villa Park, Mings’ price has been hiked up.

“Whether Villa feel Mings is worth £15m remains to be seen, but surely Dean Smith is going to want the towering centre-back on board.

“It depends how deep the pot is, but Villa might feel a lot more confident next season if they splash the cash.”

George Brooks

"Mings has been a magnificent signing for Aston Villa in the Championship and the club should do everything they can to persuade him to sign a permanent deal.

"I'm sure Eddie Howe will be impressed with the progress that Mings has made while on loan at Villa and will want him to remain at Bournemouth.

"I'm not sure whether Mings is worth £15million, but Mills could be right - it certainly wouldn't surprise me if Villa end up having to pay that much to get him."
