Leeds United target Florian Jozefzoon has instead decided to join Derby County on a permanent deal.

Derby have signed Jozefzoon from Brentford for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal with Leeds missing out on his transfer.

The Dutchman hit seven goals and created seven assists last season for the Bees but he has opted to join the Rams ahead of Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds side.

Leeds have already missed out on a number of targets this summer and Jozefzoon is the latest player to fall through their fingers.

Deals for strikers Abel Hernandez, Matej Vydra, Jonathan Kodjia and Britt Assombalonga have all fallen through while Angus Gunn joined Southampton, Kyle Bartley joined West Brom and John Egan signed for Brentford.

It has certainly been a frustrating transfer window for the Leeds fans and Bielsa, who is looking to strengthen his options.

Here is a selection of tweets from Leeds fans after learning that they had missed out on Jozefzoon.
