Norwich City have reportedly tabled a bid for 17-year-old Partick Thistle winger Aidan Fitzpatrick.

The Daily Express has reported, via the Eastern Daily Press, that the Championship side have offered the Scottish Championship outfit an up-front fee of £150,000, with the total deal being worth around £400,000 with add-ons.

Daniel Farke’s side face interest from second-tier rivals Sheffield Wednesday, as well as Scottish Premiership giants Rangers, reports the Eastern Daily Press.

Fitzpatrick has three goals and two assists from 14 matches for Partick in all competitions so far this season, although has only started three league games, with Thistle bottom of the table.

And could be on his way south if the offer from the Canaries is accepted by Thistle.

If the 17-year-old was to move to Norfolk, he would do so to be involved initially in the U23s set up at Carrow Road.

With that said, we asked our team of FLW writers if they think this is a good move for Norwich?

Here’s what our team had to say on the matter…

George Harbey

“Fitzpatrick could turn out to be a really good signing for Norwich.

“He’s been impressive for Partick Thistle this season and has contributed to a few goals despite being only 17 years of age.

“Farke’s recruitment has been magnificent this season, and Fitzpatrick could be another smart addition.”

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not so sure about this.

“Honesty shout, I don’t know too much about him.

“Daniel Farke’s transfer dealings have been strong in the past, so there’s no reason to doubt this one.

“I just think if they’re going for top-flight football, they need a more ambitious target to whet the appetite.”

Jacob Potter

“It's an ideal signing.

“Fitzpatrick has been impressive this season and Norwich are evidently planning for the future, and he could play a starring role in that.

“Although they'll have to fend off interest from Rangers, the youngster could be tempted by the chance of playing Premier League football next season with the Canaries.”

George Dagless

“Potentially.

“He has quality and Norwich could perhaps do with an extra genuine winger in their side.

“They have plenty of attacking threat, and I think that Fitzpatrick would seriously add to that if he joined.”
