Here, we take a look at some of the best comments from the St Andrew's faithful via social media earlier today.

Adam Chivers: Cheap half price season tickets in 2004,  first game was Blues against Newcastle, Stern John scored a last minute equaliser and I have been blue ever since.

Theo Ktorides: No connection to the town grew up in Cyprus early 1970s, they were showing Midlands football and Trevor Francis was my hero. Never looked back and my 23-year-old son is also a Blues fanatic!

Steve Donnelly: Drummed in to me by my mum.

Wayne Cox: Born into a family of Blues, it's in the blood.

David Sherlock: Grandad brought me an Ian Bennet green goalkeeper jersey as a kid and I have been obsessed ever since.

Darren Eades: It's not an affair, it's a way of life. Born blue, live blue, die blue. From the cradle to the grave.

Penny Morris: Taking my lad as he won tickets at school. Was hooked. The atmosphere was amazing. Had a season ticket with him ever since.

Reg Heath: Seeing someone called Trevor Francis for the first time.

Brian Turner: The 1956 cup final.
