Chris Hughton will be looking to maintain his 100% win record as Nottingham Forest manager this evening as the Reds play host to Rotherham United at the City Ground.

Hughton secured his first victory as manager on Saturday as a solitary Joe Lolley goal sealed a vital three points at Ewood Park against Tony Mowbray's Blackburn.

One key decision made in that game by Hughton was to start striker Lewis Grabban and to leave Lyle Taylor on the bench, the latter ultimately coming on later in the game and making a real impact.

With the Millers game approaching, who should Hughton opt to start tonight? Or should he utilise both from the off?

It's a tough one.

In an ideal world, I think every Forest fan would love to see both Grabban and Taylor start up top together in a front two, as on paper, they are two proven goalscorers in the Championship and arguably two of the most potent in the division.

Switching to two up top would result in losing a central midfielder, though, and as displayed on Saturday, Forest look very solid when they have two holding midfielders and a more advanced midfielder in Luke Freeman sitting just in front of them.

Taking a holding midfielder out of the side would weaken the spine of the team, whilst taking out Freeman would leave Grabban and Taylor possibly looking for more service through the middle.

On Tuesday night, I'd start Taylor. He looked really lively against Blackburn when he came on for Grabban, and I think he offers more going forward in terms of hold-up play and running in behind. That combination saw him force a smart save out of Thomas Kaminski at the weekend.

Whoever gets their first goal of the season will get great confidence out of doing so.

He has to go with Taylor and it's an easy choice right now.

You could make a case to say they both should start but Forest have a good midfield and I think 4-2-3-1 is the best formation for the squad they have. So, if it's a straight choice between Grabban and Taylor, you have to pick the latter.

Grabban has proven himself at this level over the years, so there's no doubting he will come good but he just hasn't been effective this season and he struggled on Saturday. When you have another capable player ready to come in, it's a no-brainer for Hughton.

Every manager wants competition for places and it's time to give Taylor a run in the XI so he can show that he deserves to be the main man moving forward.

Do Nottingham Forest and Derby County have these 10 things in common? Have a go now!

I'd be tempted to start both.

Both Grabban and Taylor were a threat against Blackburn Rovers, and Hughton faces a real selection dilemma with both looking to start against a leaky Rotherham United defence.

The Reds need to win this game, and I think Hughton should go bold an start both Grabban and Taylor up-front so that it gets Nottingham Forest on the front foot early on in this one.

But it's important that the pair have creativity behind them from wide areas, as they're both reliant on the services from the likes of Sammy Ameobi and Joe Lolley.

If Taylor and Grabban can form a strong partnership in attack, then I wouldn't be surprised to see Hughton keep the pair in attack for a number of matches this season, especially when up against teams they should be beating.

They need to win this match against the Millers, so it's vital that Hughton is bold in starting two strikers against a struggling Rotherham side.
