Sunderland are set to seal a deal for Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan until the end of the season, according to the Sun.

The 20-year-old has struggled to break into the first-team on a regular basis under Jurgen Klopp, and the classy midfielder is set to seal a deal to the Championship with the Black Cats.

Would this be a good signing for Chris Coleman's Sunderland?

Once again, Coleman is putting his faith in youth, and with the calibre of youngster Sunderland are attracting, the club’s supporters should be positive.

Whether these youngsters have what it takes to pull Sunderland clear of the relegation zone remains to be seen, but the fearless edge players like Ejaria will bring could be a stroke of genius.

An experienced forward still needs to be targeted, but this could turn into another impressive coup for the Black Cats.

Chris Gallagher

It's a risky move.

The youngster has featured for Liverpool's first team on occasions in the past and certainly has talent. But, is he ready for a Championship relegation battle?

He could be a decent signing and brings creativity in the final third. The big issue will be signing a striker before the deadline though.

Sam Preston

He is a highly rated young player and should link up well with Maja and Asoro.

Given Sunderland’s financial situation, they are having to rely on the fearlessness of youth to get them out of trouble.

That might work better than the years they have relied on experienced campaigners. He will be hungry to prove himself and should do well at Sunderland.

Adam Simeoni

Ejaria has made a handful of appearances for Liverpool, but is yet to really experience first-team football.

Coleman needs players who are ready to battle as his side fights to stave off the threat of relegation, but the former Wales boss obviously sees something in the youngster.

The bottom half of the Championship will be a real baptism of fire for the player.
