Brentford are heading towards relative mid-table safety in the Championship this season, with Thomas Frank's side in 14th spot following the weekend defeat to Reading, with four matches of the season remaining.
Bees manager Frank will be braced for a close season when he will expect interest in his star striker Neal Maupay, but following a report in The Sun, it would seem that 21-year-old defender Ezri Konsa is also a target with Crystal Palace lining up a move for the youngster.
So would Konsa be a good signing for the Eagles?
We discuss........
Sam Rourke
"A perfect fit.
"This'd be a top signing for Palace, as I feel they need to freshen up their defence with some youth, and Konsa looks the part for Brentford.
"He's performed well this season for Thomas Frank's side, and at the age of just 21, he looks set to have a very bright future in football.
"£15m is a sizeable sum, and it'd be a gamble as he's not played top-flight football, but it's a risk worth taking.
George Harbey
"If I’m honest, I don’t think he’s worth £15million and it’s quite underwhelming from a Palace View.
"Konza is a decent player, especially for his age, but he hasn’t really done enough to impress me this season and make me think that he deserves a chance in the Premier League.
"It could be a good move for him, but I think there are better options out there."
Jacob Potter
"This would be a smart bit of business.
"Konsa seems to be the latest of a series of defenders to look hugely impressive at Brentford.
"He's evidently got a bright future ahead of him and could thrive at a team like Crystal Palace.
"He'll be making sure he gets first-team assurances first though, before making any move."
