Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder will be looking to make it three wins out of three when his side travel to Wigan in the Championship on New Years Day, looking to improve on the fourth place they currently hold.

Wilder though is not resting on his laurels and will be looking to improve his squad in the January transfer window with Norwich winger Yanic Wildschut a reported target, according to the Sun on Sunday (30 December, Page 57).

Wildschut is currently on loan at Bolton, but has struggled for game-time and with limited opportunities at his parent club could jump at a move to Bramall Lane.

So would Wildschut be a good signing for the Blades?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

It is certainly a strange one.

Considering the winger has struggled to start for Bolton is not perhaps the most sensible move.

But then many said the same about David McGoldrick and that has turned out pretty well in the end.

Jacob Potter

They simply don’t need him.

Wildschut is a fantastic player, but I can’t see him getting anywhere near enough game time at Sheffield United this season.

Chris Wilder has been reluctant to make wholesale changes to his side for much of this season, and Wildschut should avoid this move if he wants regular football.

George Harbey

He could be a decent addition for squad depth, however it’s an underwhelming signing to say the least.

He’s not really making an impact for Bolton and his form peaked when at Wigan Athletic.

It doesn’t look like Wildschut is going to be a regular starter for the Blades which says it all really.

Alfie Burns

It’s a really bizarre one this.

Wildschut isn’t the type of player that will improve Wilder’s squad.

For me, there needs to be more focus on quality at Bramall Lane.
