Aston Villa travel to Yeovil in the first round of the Carabao Cup, with Steve Bruce likely to make wholesale changes to the side that are unbeaten in the Championship this season.

A player looking to be given the chance to impress Bruce is young striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

So should Bruce give the youngster his chance tonight at Huish Park?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Definitely.

Steve Bruce will most probably ring the changes for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash so Hepburn-Murphy should benefit from the change up to make a start and try to impress Steve Bruce.

There is no harm making changes for a cup competition that comes too early in the season, so blooding some youngsters is a good idea.

The striker is highly rated at Villa Park and with Jonathan Kodjia the only fit senior frontman, the young forward could well stake a claim to start this weekend if he does well tonight.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, this is the perfect chance for the youngster to shine.

Once upon a time the League Cup was a big deal, but now clubs in the Championship don’t need it. There’s no real reward and even teams in League Two field weaker sides than normal.

That said, Yeovil are a weak League Two side anyway and Villa could get a few goals.

Make sure the youngster is amongst those and it’s another little step forward in his journey toward regular first team football.

Sam Rourke

Definitely, It's a perfect time to play him.

The forward looked lively as he featured for Aston Villa in their victory over Wigan on the weekend, and I expect him to start.

He is one of the most exciting talents at the club and deserves an opportunity to flourish in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

George Dagless

I think so.

Villa need to give their young players a chance when they can and this game seems the ideal opportunity.

The likes of Hepburn-Murphy have the ability to play a big part this season and tonight they should get the chance to show that
