West Brom host Sheffield United in a clash that sees second play fourth in the Championship this weekend, and Baggies manager Darren Moore will be pleased that star striker Dwight Gayle is available for selection, having served a two match ban for diving in the draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Baggies though have won both the matches that Gayle missed, so the question for Moore is whether Gayle comes straight back into the starting XI and is quoted as saying “It’s a wonderful option and headache for me to have” as reported in the Birmingham Mail.

So should Gayle start for the Baggies?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"Absolutely.

"Yes, he dived disgracefully against Forest, but West Brom are in a promotion race at the end of the day.

"Gayle is their best footballer and best striker so he should start."

Jacob Potter

"It’s a no brainer.

"Gayle is a proven goalscorer, and you can’t have a player of his quality sat on the substitutes bench in such a crucial game.

"This game could make or break West Brom’s season, and it would be the worst decision possible not to start him in this one."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, why should he?

“They’ve won two without him, they should make a stand.

“Diving is wrong and the clubs who benefit have to make that clear to their players.

“He will though. That’s football, isn’t it?”

Jay Taylor

“He’s one of their best players – of course he should.

“If Gayle was playing against QPR, I don’t think that game is as close as it was.

“Him and Hay Rodriguez have a great partnership and in such an important game – the best XI available should be on the pitch.”
