Southend United fans are growing more and more impatient with the apparent inaction surrounding their club’s hunt for a new manager.
It has been well over a month since Kevin Bond was sacked from his role as Shrimpers boss but the club seem to be no closer to confirming his successor.
Sat inside the relegation zone with only Bolton Wanderers below them, and just one win to their name from 11 matches, the situation is starting to look desperate.
One name who was heavily linked with the position was Celtic legend Henrik Larsson although that now seems to have died down somewhat.
It's now 33 days since Kevin Bond left the club. An appointment needs to be made ASAP to bring stability back to Blues. This uncertainty isn't helping anyone and clarity is needed to try and turn around the poor form.

Ex-Millwall boss and Southend player Neil Harris has also been linked but as of yet does not appear to be close to any agreement with the club.
When local journalist Chris Phillip emphasised that it has now been 33 days since Bond was sacked, loads of fans responded with their own thoughts.
And here is what they had to say…
It’s a joke, I’m all for taking time to get the right appointment but it needn’t take 33 days! It’s clear Rons plan was to wait if Waddock turned around our fortunes and appoint him permanently which hasn’t happened, leaving him with no other option but to appoint someone else

Couldn’t agree more. Ridiculous it’s taken this long. I know there’s still plenty of games left in the season to turn things around but when a new manager is appointed, he’s going to need time before we see a change and it’ll be the busy Christmas period in no time at all.

I’ve worn out the refresh button on the clubs website. Desperate for the corner flag to appear on my screen.
There wasn’t this wait between Permatan and King Chris losing their respective roles and a new manager being installed. Something is afoot – possible sale of the club?

Agreed, the longer this drags on the more farcical it becomes. Can only assume that the preferred choice has backed off or is currently unavailable to commit pending opportunity elsewhere…. but certainty and stability needed ASAP.

Completely agree Chris! Ron is awful at decision making and keeping people updated of important issues

Could be that candidates are turning the job down because they have seen our squad and know it is a hopeless situation

I’m all for taking time to make the RIGHT appointment but it’s something we seriously don’t have on our side now. Saturdays game is massive!! We can drift to far away from the others above us this early on in the season. We need someone to come in and shake things up big time….
