Aston Villa are said to be one of a number of clubs eyeing a transfer swoop for promising youngster Omer Faruk Beyaz, according to The Sun.

It has also been reported that Villa are rivalling the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea to win the battle to secure his signature.

Scouts have been sent to watch the youngster in action when he featured for the Turkey under 16s team when they won the Aegean Cup.

Those scouts would have been impressed with his performances, as he scored four times during the tournament in which his side beat Spain 2-0 in the final, with Beyaz scoring a brace.

The 15-year-old is out of contract with Fenerbahce in the summer, and it isn't likely to be the last we have heard of the interest in the in-form youngster.

He certainly has a bright future ahead of him, and he will have to consider his next move carefully, as it could make or break his career.

But would Beyaz be a good signing for Aston Villa this month?

We discuss....

Louie Chandler

"Why not?

"If Smith and his scouting team see the youngster as an exciting talent, then they should bring him in.

"Villa have a host of exciting young talents coming through, and they too will be very happy with his addition."

Jay Taylor

"If the likes of Liverpool are looking at him, along with Aston Villa and four other clubs, then it would suggest there is some talent there.

"Being that he is 15, it's a huge risk as you never know if the potential will develop or not.

"But aren't all signings somewhat of a risk?

"It could be a move for the future or one that comes to nothing, it all remains to be seen."

Jacob Potter

"It’s a smart bit of business by Aston Villa.

"Although they face stiff competition for his signature, they will be hoping that they can get ahead in the race to sign the youngster with first-team football more likely to happen with Villa.

"This is an excellent signing for the future if they win the race for his signature."
