Writing in his prediction column for Sky Sports, David Prutton believes there is nothing between Brighton and Hove Albion and Leeds United, predicting a draw when the two sides meet at Elland Road on Saturday evening.

Prutton is expecting goals from the game, predicting a 2-2 draw between Chris Hughton and Garry Monk’s sides.

Brighton have recovered from back-to-back defeats against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, by recording successive victories over Rotherham United and Derby County, moving them level on points with the Magpies at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table.

Monk’s side are also doing well in the Championship, currently sitting fourth, and are on a six-match unbeaten run – despite drawing their last two fixtures with Fulham and QPR.

Prutton sees similarities between Hughton and Monk and expects both managers to gain a point on Saturday, he said: “I think there are similarities between Chris and Garry Monk in the way they approach the game.

“They are both studious and meticulous and I don’t think there will be anything to separate them on Saturday. It’s a good test for both sides.”

Victory for Brighton will see them maintain their quest for automatic promotion and effectively end Leeds’ chances of a top-two finish.
