Coventry City have had a torrid time of it in recent seasons with constant protests and anger vented at the powers that be at the club. 

During the 2014/15 season, they were forced to leave the Ricoh Arena for the majority of the campaign, playing their home matches at Sixfields, the stadium of Northampton Town.

But after winning promotion last season from League Two via the play-offs, things looked like they could be on the up and an encouraging season in the third-tier reinforced those views.

Mark Robins side currently sit in ninth place in the table with 33 matches played and just seven points outside the play-off places.

But on Friday it emerged that those hopes could be snatched away when the EFL revealed that they could be expelled from the Football League unless they come to a stadium arrangement for next season.

Unsurprisingly, it is news that has not gone down well at all.
