Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness is set to sue the club for constructive dismissal after his exit from Villa Park.

Wyness was initially suspended by Villa after news of their financial situation broke last week, however the Telegraph have revealed he has now left the club.

And, following that, the same report reveals he is taking the club to court for constructive dismissal, in a court case that could cost the West Midlands outfit £6m.

The 60-year old joined Villa in 2016 when owner Tony Xia took over and was a key figure at the club with Xia often back in China for his own business.

Yet, the close relationship the two appeared to have ended in recent weeks with the side losing to Fulham in the play-off final and the extent of Villa's financial problems shared not long after.

They are still in an awful situation and the news that a potential £6m court case is hanging over them won't be news people at the club wanted to hear.

Here's how fans of the Villans and other clubs reacted to the update...
