Despite a summer of pushing for a move away from West Brom, Craig Dawson remains on the books at the Hawthorns and still in Darren Moore’s thoughts.

Allan Nyom’s departure has left West Brom short of right-back options, with Moore unable to land any of his transfer targets yet.

Moore is considering recalling Dawson into West Brom’s first-team to solve their problem at right-back, despite the 28-year-old pushing for a move earlier this summer.

After a transfer request from Dawson earlier in the summer, should this be considered the right move from Moore?

We discuss…

This is a no-brainer for me.

I don't like Dawson for how he's gone about his business this summer, but that doesn't alter the fact he's a great defender.

You can't have £20m worth of talent on the bench. No question about that at all.

He should come back and prove he's not just a sulking prima donna.

The departure of Allan Nyom will not only do wonders for Craig Dawson's career, but also for the club as a whole.

Dawson, who was linked with multiple moves away from the Hawthorns this summer, might be a default right-back, but he has the ability to play anywhere across the back line.

With Nyom out the way, the 28-year-old can now claim the position as his own.

George Dagless

It's a boost for the Baggies.

Dawson wanted to leave clearly but if he can be brought back into the fold and play regularly then that is a big bonus for them.

He's a Premier League level player and will make their chances of promotion that bit greater.

Chris Gallagher

They have to.

Dawson can't leave now, so it's best for all parties that he is brought back into the team, as he will certainly improve the XI.

It may take time and he needs to apologise to the fans for trying to force a move, but ultimately he's a West Brom player and their best defender, so any animosity or issues will only damage the club.
