Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay has revealed that he does not think Leeds United's transfer budget will change much this summer.

Is this good or bad news for the Whites?

We discuss the journalist's admission....

Alfie Burns

Leeds’ supporters will be expecting sales.

This isn’t the type of news Leeds’ supporters want to hear, as money needs to be spent at Elland Road.

The likes of Pontus Jansson and Samuel Saiz will attract interest, and those two could be leading an exodus of players to bolster Leeds’ transfer kitty.

Gary Hutchinson

So, Leeds budget is remaining the same is it? I imagine that will lead to cries of lacking ambition from the fans who hoped that perhaps they'd be the next team to buy their way into the top six.

Perhaps, instead of the hand wringing and anger, they should look to Brentford, Millwall and other sides such as them who have small budgets and yet look set to finish above Leeds this season.

George Dagless

I don't think it's such bad news.

Of course, Leeds would like to outspend everyone in the league but with almost half the division on parachute payments from the top flight, that's going to be tough.

Really, Leeds just need to be smart with the way they spend their funds after last summer, looking back, saw a number of mistakes.

Chris Gallagher

It's a bit worrying for the fans.

Leeds got big money for Chris Wood in the summer and should have been in a position to invest significantly but it didn't really happen.

Andrea Radrizzani talks of promotion and making the top six but doesn't seem prepared to put the money that's required into it.
