Reading have got a big summer awaiting them and it looks as though Paul Clement is well aware of what he wants to bring in.

He's a manager who likes to get his side on the front foot and his signing of the forward-thinking Andy Yiadom is testament to that.

Who else comes in remains to be seen, of course, but it looks as though a busy summer is on the way at the Mad Stad.

Certainly, they need to get back to challenging for the top six and after the year that's gone by there are a few players that will be looking over their shoulder and potentially upgraded on.

Here at Football League World, then, we're looking at three players we think the Royals need to find upgrades for.

Tiago Ilori, at times, looks a half decent centre-back and did improve towards the end of the campaign.

However, there seems to be only so long he can go before dropping a clanger and, in truth, the Royals can attract better players than him for a play-off challenge.

Paul Clement will be aware of that too.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is a likeable, hard-working character and one of the few Royals players to have an ounce of credit about them after the season just gone.

However, is he the 20+ goal man you need to get into the play-offs? Probably not.

He should undoubtedly remain in the squad but the Royals need a proven goal-scorer going forward.

Tyler Blackett is a man who you can really see leaving this summer.

He's had a tough time at the Royals and it's questionable whether he'll remain in the Championship if he does leave.

He's versatile so has that going for him but the club needs to find players that can feature at a higher level than he can.
