Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi will be hoping his side can take their solid league form into their Carabao Cup third round tie away at Arsenal tonight.

Forest come into the tie on the back of a good start to the season that sees them sixth in the Championship, with only one defeat so far this season, but with an important league fixture against Stoke City on Friday evening it may be that Lamouchi decides to mix things up a bit.

This could hand a start to on-loan midfielder John Bostock tonight, as the player looks for an opportunity to make a statement to Lamouchi for a regular starting berth.

So should the 27-year-old get a start at the Emirates Stadium tonight?

We discuss........

Ben Lang

"Bostock should certainly be handed a starting place tonight as he has been very unlucky to not feature more for Forest this season.

"The midfielder has featured in both the club's League Cup ties, but he has only made one appearance in the Championship and I think tonight's match would be a good chance for him to prove himself.

"Arsenal are a side quite low on confidence at the moment which means Bostock could really stand out in the centre of midfield if Lamouchi decides to place trust in him.

"Bostock has been unlucky that Ben Watson has had such a strong start of the season to keep him out of the side, but tonight's match could be a real opportunity for him to prove his abilities to the Forest fans."

Dean Cooke

"Yes, it's a perfect opportunity to hand the midfielder a start in a Carabao Cup tie. He shouldn't change the bulk of the side but this is someone who I'm sure Lamouchi will be interested to see play.

"Bostock was highly-rated and coming over quite a few Championship teams were linked him, so if he can get some minutes under his belt at the Emirates then he'll provide another option for Lamouchi in the centre of the park.

"Playing three central midfielders means that he can rotate throughout the season, and has already done so with another option in Bostock only a positive."

George Harbey

“I think it’s inevitable that Bostock will start tonight, and it’s 100% the right decision.

“Ben Watson has been excellent over the last few games, but with a game coming up on Friday against Stoke, it’s unlikely that he will feature tonight.

“Bostock will be champing at the bit to get out there and impress Lamouchi – he has been very impressive against Fleetwood and Derby in the cup.

“He controls the midfield really well, and his energy and presence in the middle of the park could be beneficial for the Reds tonight.”
