Football League World's Queens Park Rangers fan pundit Joshua Willocks believes his side will need to be at the top of their game tonight if they are going to beat Swansea City.

Mark Warburton will welcome Steve Cooper and his side to Loftus Road and, following the Swans' weekend win against Preston, Willocks thinks the Rs defence could have their work cut-out.

"It'll have to be a complete team performance if we're to get some more points on the board," the regular punter told Football League World.

"Swansea will be full of confidence and expectation after Saturday's win and will arrive with attacking threat in the form of top scorer Borja Baston who will be eager to test himself against our problematic backline and extend his goalscoring form.

"On our end, we've seen spells of exciting attacking football but, results wise, it still seems like we lack that consistency that would help challenge for a top-half finish this season."

So far this season, QPR have won one, drawn one and lost one in their opening three matches of the season, placing them in 16th heading into the midweek match.

They were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Bristol City on the weekend and Willocks believes it was a match that shone a light on the need for change in the squad.

"After the 2-0 defeat, the manager has to think about changing things up and utilising that depth we currently have in the squad," he said.

"I think Todd Kane's been lively whenever he's come off the bench and offers much more of an attacking threat than Angel Rangel so maybe a change in the right-back position would freshen things up.

"Nahki Wells has been waiting in the wings to make his league debut and I'm sure fans would be happy to see last season's top-scorer start, with his mobility and energy acting as a different kind of threat than Hugill."

Swansea's unbeaten start is made all the more impressive when you consider the context of their season preparations.

Manager Graham Potter left to join Brighton whilst attacking talents Dan James and Oli McBurnie also made big-money moves to the top-flight.

But despite those blows, Willocks thinks it is in attack where the Welsh club still pose the biggest threat.

"It's clear that they have goals all throughout the team and players who could cause us all sort of problems if we're not careful," he said.

"Andre Ayew and Borja Baston were pretty much written off in the summer as big-budget flops but they've come back this season and started to repay the faith shown.

"They both shined in the 3-2 win over Preston and if the rejuvenated pair start on Wednesday then it will be really hard to keep them quiet."
