Two sides meet who suffered heavy defeats prior to the international break when Blackburn Rovers host Aston Villa at Ewwod Park.

Under fire Villa boss Steve Bruce will be hoping his new signings hit the ground running and can take the points in what is likely to be a tough encounter.

But how do our team see this one going?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

Steve Bruce is a man under huge pressure.

Villa could do with picking up three points for him this weekend, but that will be tough at Blackburn.

Tony Mowbray’s side play some great football and will be looking to make home advantage count.

It’ll be close.

1-1.

Jay Taylor

Both are coming into this fixture after 4-1 defeats, while their victors play one another - funny how football works!

Back to the clash between the former Premier League heavyweights.

Blackburn and Villa have had similar seasons, both sit side by side in the division with the Midlands club two goals better off.

A draw will be the outcome of this fixture between two evenly matched teams.

It will finish 1-1 at Ewood Park.

Gary Hutchinson

Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa 2-1

Villa should be winning these games, no matter how solid Mowbray has made Blackburn.

They’ve started well, but they lack the quality to finish top six for me.

Villa welcome a couple of the new signings too, who will want to make an early impression.

They’ll need to be better than they were against Sheffield United though and you know what?

I’m not sure they will be.

Chris Gallagher

Blackburn 1-2 Aston Villa

Steve Bruce needs a big performance from his team and I expect them to deliver. Villa's attack is superb on paper and I think they will show up, with Tammy Abraham a major signing.

The hosts deserve respect and will be delighted to have Bradley Dack back, so I expect an exciting game that Villa edge.
