Ipswich Town will be facing a real test this month in their hopes of getting their form back on track and continuing their push for promotion back to the Championship.

Paul Lambert’s side had got off to an excellent start to the season following their relegation from the Championship last term, with the Tractor Boys securing ten wins form their first 15 League One games, but an eight game winless run since has seen them drop out of the automatic promotion places.

The Tractor Boys will be needing to strengthen their squad this month to add some extra quality to help gat them back to winning ways, and Lambert could also decide to move out a few of Ipswich’s fringe players during the course of the transfer window.

Here then, we take a look at some of the players that it would make sense if Ipswich moved on this month…

Aristote Nsiala

One player that Ipswich could look to cash in on this month is Nsiala, who has struggled to make any real impact for the Tractor Boys so far this season, having suffered a hamstring injury during pre-season which ruled him out for the first few months of the campaign.

The defender, though, has been unable to really force his way back into the starting line-up since his return from injury, with the form of Luke Chambers, Luke Woolfenden and James Wilson limiting him to just three appearances in League One so far this term.

Nsiala endured a difficult first game back from injury in Ipswich’s defeat at Accrington Stanley back in October, and he has been unable to really secure a place back in the starting line-up in the league regularly since, meaning a move away could be best for both parties this month.

QUIZ: Where did these 15 Ipswich Town players sign from?

Andre Dozzell

Another player who Ipswich could allow to leave the club this month is Dozzell, with the midfielder finding his game time limited so far this campaign, due to the form of the likes of Cole Skuse, Jon Nolan and Flynn Downes, which has limited him to just eight League One appearances.

The 20-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and given he has not really been featuring heavily so far this season, it could be the right time for the Tractor Boys to cash in on Dozzell during the transfer window.

Dozzell has shown glimpses of his potential in the cup competitions and for England’s under20s, but with Lambert unlikely to bring him into the starting line-up on a consistent basis during the rest of the campaign, a move away could be best for both parties.

 Jordan Roberts

Another player who Ipswich could allow to leave the club this month is Roberts, with the midfielder being limited to just a single appearance in League One so far this season, with Lambert having plenty of options to choose from in midfield.

The midfielder is another player who is out of contract in the summer, and having been limited to just a handle full of appearances in the League Cup and the EFL Trophy so far this term, Ipswich could look to cash in on Roberts this month.

Roberts is unlikely to force his way back into the starting line-up ahead of the likes of Flynn Downes, Cole Skuse and Jon Nolan, which means a potential move away from Portman Road could be the best solution for both parties this term.
