Birmingham City have enjoyed a remarkable change in fortune with an unbeaten run that has moved them up to ninth in the Championship, just six points off leaders Sheffield United.

Though the run will be very satisfying for Blues manager Garry Monk, he knows it will bring a spotlight onto his players and alert clubs to potential targets come the January transfer window.

Che Adams is a player who has been on fire for Birmingham with five goals in 15 starts for the Blues, and it's likely there may be many potential suitors eyeing him up in January.

So say the club receive a £10m+ offer for Adams in January, should accept it?

It'd be so tempting, but he can be the difference in their promotion battle.

Adams and Lucas Jutkiewicz have proven to be the league’s top striking partnerships this season.

Birmingham would be stupid to sell Adams as his goals could prove to the difference in the Championship and Premier League.

Gary Hutchinson

On the other hand, if there’s the slightest hint they won’t be able to replace him because of the embargo then no, absolutely not.

£10m is only any good if you can spend it.

If they could, throw £4m at Doncaster for John Marquis and use the rest elsewhere.

I think it would need to be seriously considered, because of their financial restrictions, and £10million is a significant amount of money for a team who have been under pressure to reign in their spending.

And that sort of money would go along way in elevating the pressures they have from the authorities regarding their spending.
