‘It’d be an unreal signing’ – Simon Grayson favourite to Leeds United: The verdict

It is clear that former Leeds United player Max Gradel holds the Yorkshire club very close to his heart.

The pacey winger is often seen publishing pro-Leeds United tweets on his personal account, and you do wonder if he’d welcome a return to Elland Road.

The 30-year-old is currently on loan at Toulouse from Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth, and there is every chance he could be offloaded permanently in the summer.

Should Leeds make an emotional move for the former Simon Grayson favourite?

We discuss….

Gary Hutchinson

Absolutely.

Gradel was a class act at Leeds and they need someone with that spark to reunite the fans and the players.

There’s a huge divide at the moment, the fan base feels split and a player such as Max Gradel might give them a bit of hope for the future.

Plus, he’s a really good player and Leeds need that in abundance.

Alfie Burns

It’d be an unreal signing for Leeds, who are missing a player of Gradel’s quality.

Gradel was electric during his previous spell at Elland Road, and I believe a move back to West Yorkshire would appeal to the Ivorian.

Whether Gradel could have the same impact at Elland Road remains to be seen, but signing him would be a step in the right direction after Victor Orta’s disastrous first year of recruitment.

Chris Gallagher

He’s exactly the sort of player Leeds need.

The Whites tried to go for unproven, risky signings last summer and it didn’t work.

There’s only really Samuel Saiz who has been a major success. The club need to realise how tough it is to get out of this league and back Heckingbottom with big signings – such as Gradel.

George Dagless

They can at least try.

Gradel loves the club and so there is evidently some chance that the Whites would be able to bring him back to Elland Road.

He’d certainly be a welcome arrival but they’d surely have to put an attractive offer together for him to return even so.
