Despite Sheffield United sitting on top of the Championship as we go into the international break, manager Chris Wilder is not resting on his laurels as he looks for the players to sustain his promotion push.

The Blades are allegedly monitoring 23-year-old Livingston defender Craig Halkett according to reports in the Scottish Sun a player who is also a target of Rangers and Blackburn Rovers.

But would Halkett be good business for Sheffield United?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

Livingston have started well and Halkett has been an important member of the side so potentially.

It's always a risk with such a move but John McGinn has shown that players can adapt quickly to the Championship.

It'd be a typical Wilder move.

Jacob Potter

The 23-year-old would be a good addition to a more experienced Sheffield United defence and I think he could definitely bring something to Chris Wilder’s side.

With 80 games for Livingston already under his belt, he has developed into a real talent and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him making the move into the Championship in the near future.

Jay Taylor

They have such a solid defence now, why would they need to alter it?

Craig Halkett would only really be a backup option in my opinion as the Blades have a solid side.

That shows in their results and the fact they are top of the Championship heading into the international break.
